DENSO Singapore has officially announced with effect from 01 April 2002, the appointment of New Wave Logistics Pte Ltd (NWL) to operate our Distribution Centre in Singapore. After assessing a number of 3rd part logistics providers in Singapore, NWL has emerged as the most competent provider to take up this major support function.
In view of DISP's rapid business expansions in ASEAN, Asia and the Middle East, DISP hopes to leverage on NWL's expertise and experience to provide an even higher service level to all customers, both overseas and domestic. Another major objective is to reduce the current lead-time of products to customers, so as to increase overall customer satisfaction.
NWL is currently embarking on a major project to automate most of the warehouse functions by introducing the state-of-art DENSO QR coding system for their systemization. This will promote even higher accuracy and productivity in their current warehousing functions. NWL is also actively working with DENSO Corporation (Japan) to introduce the transfer of shipping data via EDI. With both systems in place, NWL's contribution will play a vital role in helping DISP to achieve the regional business growth.
