DENSO to exhibit at the 37th Tokyo Motor Show

"DENSO Technology for a Better Future for People and Automobiles"

Tokyo - DENSO Corporation will exhibit at the 37th annual Tokyo Motor Show, Exhibit 505, North Hall, Oct. 24 to Nov. 5, at the Makuhari Messe (Nippon Convention Center) in Chiba, Japan. On Oct. 23 at 3:30 p.m., DENSO President and CEO Koichi Fukaya will speak at a press briefing.

DENSO's exhibit theme this year is "DENSO Technology for a Better Future for People and Automobiles," and features environmental protection and safety technology developed for the 21st century.

Environmental Products
DENSO will display engine management systems such as its 1,800-bar diesel common rail system. DENSO's diesel common rail system reduces harmful substances such as nitrogen oxide (Nox) and particulate matter (PM), reduces combustion noise and vibrations, and increases fuel efficiency.

Hybrid vehicle components and the world's first CO2 car air conditioner will also be displayed.

Safety Products
DENSO will showcase safety products such as the pre-crash safety system and top-view parking assist.

The pre-crash safety system detects unavoidable obstructions, tightens the seatbelts before collision, and activates the pre-crash brake system to reduce crash speed.

The top-view parking assist is a system that helps drivers reverse into a parking space. The system shows overhead images of the car and its surroundings on a display screen, such as a car navigation system screen. Those images help drivers determine how close they are to objects around the vehicle, so they can safely and properly park.

In addition, ASMO CO., LTD, a leading small motor manufacturer and DENSO Group company, will exhibit various small motors at DENSO's booth.

"When we develop new technologies, DENSO looks at everything, even road traffic patterns, to produce the best products,"said Koichi Fukaya.gCombining our strengths in technological development and manufacturing and close working relationships with car manufacturers, we are moving toward our vision of harmony between automobiles and society."
