Expansion valve

The expansion valve serves two functions

(1) After passing through the receiver, the high temperature, high pressure liquid refrigerant is ejected from the orifice. This results in rapid expansion that changes the refrigerant to a low temperature, low pressure mist refrigerant.

(2) The expansion valve adjusts the volume of refrigerant supplied to the evaporator, according to the thermal load automatically.
