Condenser

The condenser consist of a tube and fin, and is installed in front of the radiator.

The condenser employs a cooling fan or another method to cool the high temperature, high pressure gaseous refrigerant compressed by the compressor.

This changes the gaseous refrigerant to a high temperature, high pressure liquid (liquid mixed with some gas) refrigerant.

The three pass type condenser is shown in the illustration.
The high temperature, high pressure gaseous refrigerant is cooled by passing through the condenser by means of the three tubes marked (1) to (3). There are also single pass, double pass, and multi-pass types.
