The role of the compresor
The compressor takes the gaseous refrigerant vapourized inside the evaporator and subjects it to the compression. This results in a high temperature, high pressure refrigerant that is discharged to the high pressure side for easy liquefying in the condenser.

The inside of the condenser is lubricated by compressor oil mixed in with the refrigerant.
